    The 300 MW unit has become the mainstream type of power and heat cogeneration unit due to its advantages of high ratio of heat to electricity, mature technology, good reliability, etc. Aiming at model selection of power and heat cogeneration units, it is proposed that the first question is to select a proper steam extraction mode. Taking the Bohai Project as an example, selection and features of several steam extraction modes are introduced, including steam extraction by openings on regenerative steam extraction pipeline, by openings on high-temperature reheating pipeline, and from pressure matcher, rotary diaphragm, base cylinder valve, etc. 

    The operation condition of generator unit in thermal power plant is analyzed with the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method. A systematic self-optimization model of operation parameter target value is established. Through comparing the evaluation result of real-time operation parameter and that of the already-stored optimal operation parameter in the system, the better data is selected as the target value for the operation parameter of generator unit. The operation parameter and the change of the whole operation condition of generator unit are obtained through joint analysis on the single-factor evaluation result and the comprehensive evaluation result, which is beneficial for performance analysis of the generator unit.

    Based on the platform of the ANPS-1000 advanced nuclear power station simulation support system and taking the turbine regulation system of the 980 MW unit in Daya Bay Nuclear Power Station as an object, the turbine regulation system is divided into several modules according to modular modeling. With these modules and the modules of ANPS-1000 itself, a simulation model is established using graph configuration method for turbine regulation system of the 980 MW unit, after which simulation tests are carried out. The developed simulation model may serve as a reference for production, operation, performance analysis, and fault diagnosis of similar nuclear power stations.

    An analysis has been carried out to the run back control strategy for a 310 MW unit, together with an introduction presented to the specific RB test method and process. Based on all RB test results, the control strategy is optimized, so that the RB function can be put into reliable use to guarantee safe operation of the unit under accidental conditions.

    Aiming at the common problems that the temperature of turbine bearing in a 1 000 MW nuclear power station as well as of same type bearings in other units is too high, a program is established for calculating the bearing temperature and analyzing the influence of bearing elevation on the temperature. The calculation result is compared with that of the manufacturer, so as to verify whether there are problems in the design and evaluate whether the actual operation temperature of the bearing is too high. Based on the calculation result, maintenance data and operation parameters, an analysis is made on the cause of bearing overheating, for which corresponding countermeasures are put forward. Implementation results show that the computation method meets actual requirements and has helped to eliminate the overheating failures of the turbine bearing.

    Aiming at the co-combustion of lignite at a high proportion in direct firing pulverizing system of a bituminous boiler and to solve problems such as the inflammability and explosion hazard of the high volatile lignite ground in the pulverizing system, etc., a retrofit scheme of blending cold flue gas into the pulverizing system is proposed, which makes the co-combustion proportion of lignite reach more than 50% and decreases the end oxygen content of the pulverizing system to lower than 16%. It is shown by calculation that the retrofit scheme of extracting cold flue gas from outlet of the induced draft fan to the inlet of the primary air fan is feasible and can meet the anti-explosion requirements and improve the drying capability of the pulverizing system under various operation conditions. At last, influences of the retrofit on the boiler are analyzed in detail.

    In combination of the overheating fault of tilting-pad bearing of a steam turbine, the working principal of the tilting-pad bearing is introduced and its overheating cause is analyzed, during which the specific failure causes are found out. Relevant parameters, including bearing metal temperature, lubricating oil temperature, vibration, etc., of the turbine are restored to the normal conditions by replacing with a new bearing and repairing the jacking oil pipe by welding process.

    Aiming at the disqualification of a unit with a vacuum reduction of 480 Pa per minute in vacuum leakage test, which has seriously affected the economical efficiency of the unit for a long time, relevant leakage tests were conducted using helium mass spectrum vacuum leak detector, and subsequently corresponding leakage points were found out. After taking necessary countermeasures, the vacuum reduction has finally dropped to 110 Pa, which satisfies the national standard of excellence (<130 Pa/min), resulting in significant economical benefit.

    The application of AC plasma ignition burner in 660 MW once-through boilers is introduced, while the working principal elaborated. In combination with experiments and researches, the influence of mass fraction of coal powder, primary air flow, and secondary air distribution mode on the ignition process and flame stability during boiler startup is discussed with actual examples. Optimal mass fraction of coal powder, primary air flow, and secondary air distribution mode are finally obtained, which may serve as a reference for actual operation of AC plasma ignition burners.

    Aiming at the blocking problem of the sprayer in deaerator adopted by condensate return system of direct air cooling unit, it is proposed to use the automatic condensate return switch device to solve the problem of sprayer blocking, which will harm the unit operation. Function, composition, and working process of the device are introduced. Application results show that the device is effective and can guarantee safe and stable operation of the unit as well as prevent icing accident of the air cooling island in winter.

    In nuclear power projects, compared with the second-generation improved pressurized water reactor which adopts the austenitic stainless steel of RCC-M series brand as the main material of core internals, AP1000 reactor adopts the austenitic stainless steel of ASME series. The construction of their core internals also differs significantly. To effectively utilize the existing techniques and manufacturing technologies of domestic manufacturers and avoid repeat investments, based on ASME and RCC-M standards, the feasibility of substituting the main material of AP1000 reactor core internals is discussed through comparing and analyzing the chemical compositions, mechanical properties, and intergranular corrosion resistance of the main internal materials between the two types of reactors.

    Aiming at the current situation that the T91 steel tubes employed by the high-temperature reheater of an ultra supercritical pressure boiler ages after serving for 3×104 hours, a series of analysis work has been carried out so as to obtain the properties and microstructures of the T91 reheater tubes, such as metal supervision and inspection, tube cutting for comprehensive property test, operation parameters supervision, and so on, and whereby a retrofit plan for the outlet section of the reheater tube is proposed, which provides basis for design, manufacturing and metal supervision and inspection of the high-temperature heating surface of ultra supercritical units.

    Aiming at the compulsory requirement on canceling the bypass flue of seawater desulfurization system, influences of following factors on the desulfurization efficiency are analyzed from aspects such as the mass fraction of grease mist in flue gas, the setting of seawater booster pump, the operation of gas-gas heater, etc., to which specific retrofit measures are put forward. Running practice shows that the implementation of the retrofit scheme can guarantee stable operation of the unit and improve the desulfurization efficiency to a level reaching the design requirement.

    To reduce the influence of drawbacks of raw material itself on hydrostatic test or 168 h commissioning of boiler unit in thermal power plants, or on property loss and human security during daily operation of boiler, the reason why tube materials with cracks flow to boiler manufacturer is analyzed from four aspects, namely factors of personnel, testing equipment, rules, and the environment, based on 4 actual cases. Suggestions on prevention of similar problems are finally proposed to boiler manufacturers and supervision units.
